Mostly Mutts

Animal Rescue

Mostly Mutts specializes in rescuing neonatal  pups and their moms from high kill shelters in the tri-state area.  We are an all foster rescue based in the St. Louis area.  Our pups stay with their foster parents until they find their forever home.

Mostly Mutts director Kelly Pavlack says, "It's not the puppies' fault that pet overpopulation is on the rise and irresponsible owners are not spaying or neutering their dogs." Mostly Mutts helps give these puppies a chance to live instead of being euthanized. Pavlack says many people do not realize that puppies under four weeks of age are almost immediately put down with their mother when they are brought to a shelter or humane facility.

Shelters are full and the puppies' weak immune system makes them susceptible to many diseases. Even if they are not euthanized most do not make it. Sadly, many puppies in the area are humanely put down before they even reach a week a life; it is Mostly Mutts' goal to help these defenseless puppies to have a chance. Pavlack states that all of Mostly Mutts' puppies are spayed and neutered to help end the cycle of pet overpopulation.

Adoption fees include shots up to the time of adoption, deworming, Frontline, and the pup's spay or neuter.
